Lily Ellis
Principal Investigator
Lily Ellis is an incoming Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business at UVA. Her research investigates the antecedents and consequences of idea and intellectual property theft in organizations, as well as the entrepreneur community. She explores these phenomena at the individual and team levels.
Daniel Goldberg
lab manager & Research assistant
Daniel is a junior at Cornell University, pursuing a major in Industrial and Labor Relations as well as minors in Business and Law & Society. On campus, he is the IP chair for Cornell’s Intellectual Property and Ethics Club, Treasurer for the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and Assistant Director of Magazine for the ILR Sports Business Society. Last summer, he interned for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He’s interested in helping aspiring tech startups achieve more equitable access to the patenting process.
Mayanka Dhingra
Research assistant
Mayanka is a junior at Cornell University double majoring in Science & Technology Studies and History. She is the President of Cornell’s Intellectual Property & Ethics Club and a member of the Kappa Alphi Pi Pre-law fraternity. She previosuly worked as a research assistant to the Dean of Cornell Law School studying the regulation of misinformation on social media to inform his book project. Last summer she worked as a Patent & Copyright Intern at Fenwick & West LLP. She is passionate about enviornmental justice and enjoys journalism, trying new things, and finding vintage goods.
Maya Rahman
Research Assistant
Maya is a first year student at the University of Virginia pursuing a business track. Over the summer, she interned with Professors Matthew Cronin and Suzanne de Janasz at the George Mason University School of Business. On grounds, she works as a research assistant at the McIntire School of Commerce. She is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a member of the Virginia Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team.
